What does a retreat day look like?

Here’s a sample schedule of what a day at one of our retreats looks like:

Morning
Start the day with a healthy, high-protein breakfast
Mobility or yoga session to warm up
Skills Clinic
Break for lunch and relaxing
Afternoon
Hit the trails to test out those new skills on a guided ride
Afternoon for relaxing, swimming in the river, shopping
Evening
Delicious dinner with LOTS of veggies, protein and everything you need to restore your body after a big day on the trails
Campfire session to connect with other women

Tell me about the food!

The one thing we might just love more than bikes? FOOD!

As active, athletic women, we know that eating well is key to enjoying a day on the bike. We design our retreats around the idea that a well-fed body is a happy body.

Partnering with top-rated local caterers for all of our retreats, we ensure that each meal leaves you feeling full and satisfied. This retreat is not a weekend of delicate salads, although we do love our greens. We make sure to include nourishing, protein-rich meals that are flexible to meet a variety of potential dietary needs.

A few sample meals from past retreats:

Breakfast: Potato, black bean, egg, turkey chorizo breakfast burritos with salsa and served with seasonal fruit

Lunch: Pesto and Grilled Chicken wraps with white cheddar popcorn and a protein brownie

Dinner: Coconut Rice + Teriyaki Salmon + Vegetable Medley with Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert

Any questions about dietary needs? Be sure to share in your retreat registration and we will work with our caterer to ensure you have what you need.

What skill level is required?

Our retreats can accommodate a variety of skill levels and paces. While some of our retreats take place in more advanced terrain, we seek to ensure that all levels of riders have a positive experience whether you prefer your trails mellow or super spicy.

To ensure you have the best experience, be sure to check out our skill and pace rating system when you register. Providing an honest assessment of your skills and pace level will help us place you in the appropriate group for our skills clinics and rides.

Having an off day? Wanting to take it easy? That’s fine too! Even if you are an advanced rider but maybe wanting to keep it chill or recovering from an injury, no shame in dialing it back. Not every day needs to be FULL send and we want you to chose what’s right for you.

We partner with certified mountain bike coaches for our skills clinics and guided rides. We make sure to have the right number of coaches to participants so that everyone gets some 1:1 coaching and we can divide up our groups by skill/pace/interest for the day.

Who typically attends these retreats?

Most of our retreat attendees have at least a few years of experience mountain biking. They are familiar with the basics of the sport (braking, bike/body separation, using a dropper post, etc.) and are looking to get out on some new trails with other awesome lady shredders.

Our retreat attendees are typically mid-career women who want a weekend of refreshment and riding without a lot of planning on their part. We are more of the “in-bed-by-9pm” crowd vs the “party-till-dawn”. We’re here to have fun, connect, take care of our bodies, and get some time away from the day-to-day.

What’s the vibe like?

Shred fest meets wellness retreat meets “we have thought of every single detail so you don’t have to” is our vibe!

We partner with only the very best licensed MTB coaches, yoga instructors, caterers and lodging to bring you the ultimate MTB retreat experience. We want you to leave our retreats feeling like you just spent the weekend at the spa while also having the most incredible weekend of riding!
